Pricing in Proportion

Beat Royal Mail's Pricing in Proportion, use a franking machine and save a minimum of 2p per envelope

Does size matter? From 21st August 2006 it will.

Royal Mail has announced that from 21st August 2006 mail will no longer be rated on weight and the class of service alone. With the introduction of Pricing in Proportion (PiP) the size and thickness of mail, together with its weight and class of service will determine the price.

Pricing in Proportion made easier with Mailing Solutions UK

With one simple fold save up to 30% on First Class rates

  • An A4 document sent out un-folded in a C4 envelope would be classed as a large letter
  • Folding that same document/set of documents into DL or C5 envelope could significantly reduce postage costs
  • Savings start at 13p per item for mailing pieces weighing under 100g.

Think inside the envelope and get your mail working harder

  • With fewer weight restrictions, the Pricing in Proportion system allows you greater freedom
  • Send a wider range of mail and insert additional information, such as product flyers, promotional letters and news and updates
  • Under the proposed new pricing system, you will be able to send heavier letters and large-letter sized items at significantly less cost
  • There's no rebate for the weight you don't use. Folding and inserting systems help you prepare your mail and take advantage of this opportunity.

Watch the pennies and the £££'s will look after themselves

  • Are you still paying full stamp prices for your business mail?
  • Metered mail customers and users of PPI are entitled to a minimum of 1p discount on every item of first class mail
  • Under the proposed Pricing in Proportion system these discounts are protected.
