Which Shredder to Purchase?

The main questions to ask yourself before purchasing a shredder are:

  1. Which machine will cope with my volume of work
  2. How noisy and disturbing will the machine(s) be
  3. Which security level will I require
  4. How many people will be using the machine
  5. Do i require cross cut or strip cut.

How do I choose the right machine?

Firstly determine where the shredder will be place, then decide on your security specifications and the type of material that will be passing through the machine.

What is Cross Cut?

The paper is shredded into confetti shaped pieces. The main advantages of this are higher security and the fact that the waste basket will need emptying less often.

What is Strip Cut?

The paper is cut into long spagetti strips

What does each security level mean?

Security Level 2 is the lowest level offered on the strip cut machines and Security Level 5 is the highest offered on the cross cut the particles of paper.

What is DIN Standard?

The DIN standard is a European classification of security levels which states the size of the shredded particles.
